Chatting with PV Dan Tri after the finale, 1st runner-up Nguyen Thi Thuan said that she was still quite nervous.
Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022 is licensed by the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province. The contest is organized to honor the image of Vietnamese women through the ao dai, as well as to promote the cultural heritage in the country.
The final of the Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022 contest just took place in Quang Binh yesterday (28/7). Contestant Luong Yen Ly from Tuyen Quang became the new Miss. The title of 1st runner-up went to Nguyen Thi Thuan and the title of 2nd runner-up was given to Phan Ngoc Khanh.
Crowned the title of 1st runner-up in the Miss Ao Dai contest, do you have any regrets or not?
– The Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022 pageant is really a challenge for me. Because from the beginning of the attendance until the finale, I had to try my best to learn the smallest things such as: Communicating behavior, makeup, how to walk, smiling….
I and the 28 contestants had to train their bodies, performances, catwalks to be beautiful and show their own talents. The criterion of the competition is to choose girls who, besides the beauty of their appearance, must also possess intellectual property, bravery, confidence. Going to the competition, I learned a lot.
Perhaps, my biggest regret is that I didn’t perform well in the conduct test because I was too nervous.
However, after answering, I realized, any regret and then left behind. Now I have to try to fulfill the role of runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022, bringing the image of Vietnamese ao dai to introduce more to international friends.
What makes you feel the happiest when participating in Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022?
– The happiest thing for Thuan is to meet the contestants who participated in the Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022 contest and accompany the Organizing Committee to distant places, building a meaningful volunteer journey.
In everyday life, as an entrepreneur, I participate in many volunteer activities.
After the contest, I feel really lucky to accompany the Organizing Committee to write meaningful things in the journey to honor the ao dai, promote Vietnam’s tourism from north to south and countries around the world.
Can you share your most desired after being crowned 1st runner-up?
– My most desired thing right now, is also the answer to behave on the stage of the finale of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2022. That is the aspiration to associate the promotion of Vietnamese ao dai with the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of our country.
As a lucky woman born in Vietnam, a country associated with a lot of cultural heritage and ao dai is also one of the valuable heritages to preserve, I am aware of my responsibility.
In addition to preserving the identity and culture of the ao dai, we need to revive the pride of Vietnamese women. Ao Dai is not only the pride of the Vietnamese nation but also gives world friends admiration.
