Red-tailed green snakes are blue, hiding in canopies, grass tops. It is the only venomous snake in the world that gives birth. After birth, the mother snake will die.
Ms. Mai Thai Hien, a guide of Dong Tam Snake Farm, said that the red-tailed green snake is the obsession of the people of the Mekong Delta. Every year hundreds of people are bitten by this snake. “Red-tailed green snakes usually live in trees. The head of the red-tailed green is large, triangular. People bitten by red-tailed green snakes can have hemorrhages…”, Hien said, adding that the food of the red-tailed green snake is toads, frogs, birds, rats.
The red-tailed green snake has a maximum weight of only about 300g, the maximum length is less than 1m. This snake has extremely venomous, deadly if not promptly take first aid measures.
Clean-beaked green snake – non-poisonous green snake.
According to Hien, the green-billed snakes belong to the family of water snakes, they live in the bushes, in the trees; Food is frogs, frogs… “The beaked green snake is also known as the rocket green snake, the arrow. This type of snake is healthy, without venom. This snake has no red color – this is the point to distinguish it from the red-tailed green snake,” Hien said.
Types of snakes, red-tailed greens… raised in a lake area with water about 30-40cm deep; The walls in this area are built as high as the chest of an adult. In the middle of the lake is a small island planted with several plants with low canopy.
