Ho Ngoc Ha asked stylist Kye Nguyen to be in charge of collecting, washing, arranging liquidated items. Stylist Kye Nguyen said he planned and “invited” the singer about three months ago. When convinced by Kye Nguyen, Ho Ngoc Ha agreed to “clean the cabinet” with the male stylist, because the previous liquidations received great attention from fans. This is also the first time the mother of three has decided to liquidate many luxury items that she has collected for many years.
“This time, Ms. Ha will liquidate about 80-100 high-end dresses, from brands such as Balmain, Versace, Dolce Gabbana, Valentino, Gucci. She said the costumes were worn at most three times, some of which also meant something special to her,” Kye Nguyen said. These branded items are offered by Ho Ngoc Ha at a price many times cheaper than the original price with the expectation that everyone can own branded goods for money.
It is expected that Ho Ngoc Ha and Kye Nguyen will open the sale of items in three batches. On 19/8, the singer held an auction of three branded items that have special meaning to her. Profits from the auction will be donated to Saigon Children’s Charity. The remaining items, Ho Ngoc Ha opened for sale online. In addition, she also held an offline liquidation event of Ho Ngoc Ha’s Closet in Ho Chi Minh City on August 20-21.
Ho Ngoc Ha used to clean the closet twice. In April this year, she ceded more than 1,000 outfits from daily dresses to beachwear, show clothes… with diverse segments, from popular brands such as Zara, H&M … to international high-end fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Gucci … The singer set the price for the costumes that need to be ceded in many levels, most of which are at 149,000 VND to 699,000 VND. With branded items, she liquidated in the range of 5-14 million VND. Kye Nguyen said that in this liquidation, the singer “cleaned the cabinet” about 80% of the items sold.
In 2019, she also collaborated with stylist Kye Nguyen to organize second-hand sales for charity. According to Ho Ngoc Ha, she usually only wears clothes on photos once, so she rarely buys things that are too expensive. Finding new owners for old items to contribute to reducing fashion waste and connecting more with fans.
“This is a new fashion trend in the world to protect the environment. Buying vintage is also a stylish, knowledgeable and economical type of play. I also love to find old collections, items I could not buy now have the opportunity to own”, Ho Ngoc Ha said.
