Two women who were working for a children’s toy company in Ninh Binh while at work were struck by lightning on the spot. A woman in Thai Binh was also struck by lightning in a field.
On July 14, Mr. Vu Dung – Chairman of Thach Binh Commune People’s Committee, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province said that in the commune, two people were killed by lightning.
Earlier, at about 7:30 a.m. on the same day, on the road of Thach Binh commune to Phu Son commune, Nho Quan district, there was a lightning incident that killed 3 people.
At the above time, Ms. Guo Thi Thy (SN 1985) and Ms. Bui Thi Nhung (SN 1988) stayed together in Bai Lóng village, Thach Binh commune accompanied on a motorbike to go to the company to work.
While on the road, two victims were struck by lightning. A nearby man was unconscious and recovered an hour later.
Immediately after the incident, Nho Quan District Police coordinated with the authorities of Phu Son and Thach Binh communes to record the incident and bring the victim’s body to his family.
Chairman of Thach Binh Commune People’s Committee added that the site of the lightning strike is having heavy rain, about 7km from the victims’ homes.
It is known that both victims were working for a children’s toy company in Van Phong commune (Nho Quan district). In particular, the family of victim Bui Thi Nhung has very difficult circumstances, has 4 young children, is a family that has only been out of poverty for a short time.
“In the immediate future, Thach Binh Commune People’s Committee has shared, encouraged and supported VND 2 million per victim’s family; at the same time, we continue to call on charitable organizations and individuals to continue to help,” Dung said.
In Quynh Bao commune, Quynh Phụ district, Thai Binh province, there was also an incident where a woman was working in a field when she was struck by lightning. The victim was Mrs. P.T.N. (59 years old), resident of Quynh Bao commune.
On the morning of July 14, Mrs. N. went to transplant in the Field of Price. At about 7 a.m. on the same day, it suddenly appeared thunderstorms and thunderstorms, Mrs. N. was struck and killed by lightning on the spot.
