General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted, strictly implementing the regime of combat readiness; closely manage the airspace, waters, borders, inland and strategic and key areas.
In the morning of July 13, in Hanoi, the Central Military Commission held a conference to evaluate the results of leaders in the implementation of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of the year and the implementation of key tasks in the last 6 months of 2022.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary of the Central Military Commission presided over the conference. Attending the conference were members of the Politburo: President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Cuong, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chairman of the General Political Bureau.
Also in attendance were leaders of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Internal Affairs Committee, the Central Economic Committee, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central People’s Committee, the Central People’s Committee, the Central Office of the Party, delegates of the Head of the General Staff, the General Political Bureau and a number of agencies, units under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.
The report and the comments expressed at the conference all agreed to affirm: In the first 6 months of 2022, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the committees and commanders at all levels have actively coordinated with departments, ministries, central and local branches, leaders and directions of the whole army to unite, unifying, striving, comprehensively completing tasks, many tasks successfully completed, having excellent completion tasks; promptly advise the Party and State to effectively handle situations, not to be passive and unexpected; firmly protecting sovereignty and territory; coordinate with forces to maintain security and order and ensure the safety of the country’s political events; to promote well the core role in natural disaster prevention and control, epidemics, search and rescue, support people’s economic development.
The Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the levels of committees and commanders at all levels seriously implement the Politburo’s Resolution No. 05-NQ/TW dated January 17, 2022 on the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army in the period of 2021-2030 and the following years. Quality of training, exercises, training, building comprehensively strong units “exemplary, typical”, with changes and progress; international integration and defense foreign affairs are active, proactive, flexible, substantive and effective. Logistics, technical, defense industry, legal work, scientific research and other aspects of work are actively implemented, timely meeting the tasks; The physical and spiritual life of the team is maintained. Party building work is of particular importance; the effectiveness of party work and political work is enhanced; The whole army is always united, unified, stable, steadfast, highly determined, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong praised cadres and soldiers in the whole army for uniting and agreeing to successfully complete military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of 2022.
In order to perform well the key tasks in the last 6 months of the year, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the action program of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress of the Party, resolution of the 11th Party Congress of the Army; focus on leading and directing the improvement of research capacity, forecasting the situation, proactively, sensitively and promptly advising the Party and State to effectively handle situations, not to be passive, unexpected, firmly protect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense continue to closely coordinate with departments, ministries and branches in advising on promulgating and effectively implementing strategies, schemes and draft laws on military and defense; resolution on the direction of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of regions to 2030, vision to 2045; summarizing the 10-year implementation of the 8th Plenum of the 11th Central Committee on the Strategy to protect the Fatherland in the new situation, ensuring quality and on schedule.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted, strictly implementing the regime of combat readiness; closely manage airspace, waters, borders, inland and strategic and key areas; to strictly and strictly implement resolution No. 05 of the Politburo on the organization of the People’s Army of Vietnam in the period of 2021 -2030 and the following years; organize the adjustment of lean, compact and strong forces; promote regular construction, maintain strict observance of State law and military discipline; continue to implement extensively and effectively the resolutions, conclusions, directives and regulations of the Central Committee on building and correcting the Party, the responsibility to set the example of cadres and party members and the Resolution of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Army”, resolutely against individualism in the new situation; actively fight against corruption and negativity; strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested and focused on building a strong clean Party organization, associated with building comprehensively strong agencies and units. The cadres at all levels of the army must perform well the “self-examination and self-correction”, raise the spirit of solidarity and exemplary in the performance of assigned tasks, contribute to building a stronger and strong army always worthy of the trust of the whole Party and the whole people for the “Uncle Ho Army”.
